SCS SB 29 -- CANDIDATE WITHDRAWAL DEADLINES

SPONSOR: Gross (Parker)

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Elections by a vote of 11 to 0.

legislature is that there is no reason for these limits to not be
enforced.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the substitute demonstrates that
the legislature is serious in enforcing the candidate withdrawal
deadlines.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Gross.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
